You sir are actually wrong ! Weight transfer doesn't give you faster cornering . The amount of grip you gain on the outer wheel is actually less than the grip you lose on the inner wheel ! Net lateral grip is going to be less ! Any weight transfer = less overall lateral grip.
Remember Longitudinal load ( Fx) vs

Yup ! With tires its more than pure friction, a lot of other factor come in play otherwise the width of tires should never matter according to the friction theory ! In reality it does because of adhesion and other factors

You have a very good point ! As someone who tracks his car, I feel the same way with this article. He is making a general sweeping statement which agreed is true for 90% of the people who buy these cars but there are a lot of enthusiasts who over time grow out of their cars and need more performance. If someone cant

Nice list but I guess you could add the Tata Nano to the list as well if this list could include all cars and not just the ones in the western world? Its officially rated at 56 mpg but having been around one I can tell you that the claim is rather conservative.

Yup you did but there are a surprising number of people who don't have a clue about it i.e senna's mclaren were powered by honda. But yeah next year should be epic !

This is pretty much what most of the engineers in my class are facing as well !

I kinda agree that it is looking to be getting out of control but what have we to show for here back home ? A shootout almost every month and not slowing down ! We are outraged by this incident while we have kids and students getting killed back home in the place of study. I am sure the other developed nations would

Not to mention the championship engines supplied to mclaren in the 80s !

I honeslty cant get how this got overlooked for saab !

Agreed with the Top 4 and especially that Saab deserves no place over the 14 you picked ! Heck I would pick even Toyota over Saab !

I agree with top 9 of your list ! Its pretty spot on but I cant really understand how Saab can be above Nissan, Audi , Mazda or even jaguar !
Any good examples of Saab's racing to make a stronger case than WRC , Lemans and grandprix wins of audi ?

Your list lost any credibility without any Honda in the top 10

Indy + F1 + motorcyle racing + super GT alone is enough to get a place in the top 10 list !

Please explain how you conclude that BMW has had more of a impact that revolutionizing rallying with quattro and proving diesels can win at endurance racing. The only racing the M1 did was its own Procar championship and cant really count for sports car racing achievements. Quite a bit of success in motogp ? Now you

Sports car racing ? Which one are you talking about because I don't remember it dominating any. Sure the E30 dominated touring car series it participated in and not every type of racing ! So going by E30 dominance you would say even Nissan is the greatest because they dominated the 70s to 80s/mid 90s with the skyline

I agree especially if include the cosworth DFV, it is a pretty impressive history !

I find it rather interesting that you would include chevrolet and Mazda over what Audi has achieved in Grand Prix racing , Rally and Lemans and not to forget Honda with all their wins in F1, indy and motorcycle racing

Much more ? Its not even half as good as Audi's or Porsche or mercedes's history ! Sure F1 and this one time at lemans but what else?

Oh yeah it is ! Makes me wonder why so many people just waste 100-200$ at the dealership for a simple diagnosis when they are obviously smart enough to use a computer in day to day life ! :O

Its pretty straight forward with some patience ! The guys who make the upgraded seals for the VANOS have a pretty clear DIY. I would recommend a VANOS rebuild for anyone with 100k+ e46 3er. The car has gained back torque now at lower rpm making it easier to drive in stop go traffic
