First of all, thank so much for this incredibly well-written and eye-opening piece.

Even though I believe that Mother’s should feel comfortable enough to nurse wherever they want (as it’s no different than taking out a bottle) this is awesome. The nursing options we gave to mothers when I worked in baseball were family restrooms, or the first aid stations. It’s a huge improvement and a step in the…
According to Tabler, “My suspicion is that girls who are preoccupied with weight and appearance and insecure at very young age—that follows you.”
I can't believe I am saying this but I am 100% on the airline's side. My Dad had a Dr.s note every single time he flew in the two years he battled cancer. For one thing, it got him out of the long-ass Midway lines and it also assured himself and the crew members that he was healthy enough to fly.
You know what's a real inconvenience? Lawsuits.
“...Vili Fualaau, meanwhile, discusses his bouts with alcoholism, depression and why he believes the system failed him while he was still a minor.”
how about: I love you so much that I want to spend the rest of my life with you? maybe also: I love you so much that want to have children with you? I could never have an open marriage but reducing marriage and love to just sex is, well, a bit sad.
When I got pregnant, I expected HR would be the proper place to go to untangle all the implications of maternity leave for my insurance coverage and find out what other expectant moms generally do, etc. It was like they’d never heard of a pregnant employee before. They basically told me I should have alerted them to…
Most shelters also offer personality blurbs about the cat's background and/or observed behavior, which are very helpful in deciding if socially the kitty will be a good fit for your personality and expectations.

I'm thinking the medical examiner was trying to make sure the jury got what a horrible injury she suffered. Apparently it didn't work.
"We thought we'd see what happened"??? WHAT A FASCINATING EXPERIMENT WITH A SUPER SURPRISING RESULT.
I am a total morning person, but I am a QUIET morning person, so I feel you. A friend and I were sharing a hotel room on vacation and she's one of those chirpy morning people, and I literally said to her "if you do not stop talking immediately I will murder you." We ultimately came up with the rule of "no talking to…
Hey...itheedread folks - can I just make a point here? I love this concept for a feature. My wife loves the concept of this feature. But both of us are just a *wee* bit bothered by the title of it. I am not her husband. She is most DEFINITELY not my husband! (The type of ignorant-ass straight folks who would ask…
This is why I never think the common "I cook, you clean" division is fair. It disincentivises the cook from cleaning as they go, or making efficient use of pots and pans. In my house, whoever cooks also has to clean, but we trade off. And my "clean as you cook" game is super tight now.
Interesting that a dude chimes in because he doesn't trust what a woman says. Because I'm guessing you're a guy.
Having grown up with maids
I've told this story before here. But.
I am your husband. I don't share my cups with anyone else (I live with roommates, not a spouse), but I am totally and completely baffled by the number of cups they use. I will leave for work in the morning to an empty kitchen sink, and come home to a sink with 5 mugs and 3 glasses in it. They're two people!!! I…
