I’m sorry but I dissagree. It is wrong for a shop to mark up MOST parts. Most of the time the part isn’t kept in inventory at a mechanics shop, they in fact order the parts when they are needed. I understand the mark up on fluids or common filters, they are usually on hand at the shop, in stock so to speak and
