I meant Arrow at this point in its run, ie. Arrow’s Season 7. Arrow managed to come back and end on a high with Season 8, but the show was already petering out by season 6.

Caity Lotz is so funny, along with being the best in the action scenes, her character having the most dramatic/ tragic backstory, and her relationship being the best one in the ArrowVerse. A lot of elements make the show so great, but none of it works without her.
Behrad still has his totem, so the effects aren’t gone.
I’ll miss Nate and his wonderful hair so much!
Thanks Jarrod for your reviews, you’ve been amazing! Wishing you the best for whatever comes next (these last 2 weeks have been difficult for being on AV Club). Once a legend, always a legend!
A lesser show would have had a Nate/Zari/Zari love triangle, whichever way that swings.
It wouldn’t be Legends if one or two Legends don’t retire at the end of this season (Gary? Gwyn? Human Gideon? I hope not Nate) and a new team member joins whose presence I initially resent & find annoying, but who then quickly becomes one of my favorites
Astra for President!
Just a year ago, I would have said that I was okay with Legends ending. But damn, this season has been the best in years and I just wish I could spend a little more time with those groovy guys.
Theory: this episode was actually shot last, so that it could also serve as a wrap party for the cast if they don’t get renewed.
I was bummed out when Arrow decided to take its final bow.
That pacing is 100% from the original novel, which has such an unusually convoluted backstory by Agatha Christie standards that the entire first half is spent just establishing how all the suspects are connected. The very good 1978 adaptation with Peter Ustinov also stays true to that structure.
I’ve become so attached to Gideon that I think I might break if anything happens to her.
Why didn’t Sara use the time device to stop time and defeat him?
-“It took the Legends years to notice I was an alien.”
One of my favorite sight gags ever on the show was from the bowling episode when Spooner was celebrating & lept into Astra’s arms & Astra is so much taller she held her up well off the ground
I think the show is pretty good at telegraphing its pairings, and as full of chemistry Astra and Spooner are, yeah, their relationship to me really felt definitely platonic, specially contrasted to all the obvious hints of Behrad liking Astra since he met her.
Spooner & Astra to me feels akin to the Ray-Nate platonic best friend bromance, one of the best things the show has ever done, & I think is a worthy successor to that
Yeah, the episode did technically spin its wheels, but I was having so much fun I didn’t care. The Fixed Point bar is one of the best new concepts the show has introduced in recent years. And THAWNEEEEEE!!! Didn’t realize they had brought Matt Letscher back. I was so ready to go for the big confrontation at the end,…
Matt Letscher’s return as Reverse-Flash would’ve been a fun surprise had the promo pics not spoiled it. That kind of explains one of Thawne’s mysterious resurrections. Sara doesn’t mention his appearance in “Crisis On Earth-X!,” which hasn’t happened yet from Thawne’s perspective.
