I haven’t been a teenager for a few decades, but you can’t forget this reason for going to the movies, at least for young people- a good place to make-out.

For a substantial segment of the population, the drawbacks of seeing a movie in the theater outweighed the advantages, pre-pandemic. First of all about 10 years ago I stopped going to any theater at all where I couldn’t reserve seats. Then there’s travel, cost, the random chance that someone sitting near me is some

Someone: “It’s a coming-of-age novel about...”

“Wunderkind” is literally German for “wonder kid”! (Well, more like wonder child, but the meaning’s practically the same.) I don’t know why Nate saying one instead of the other is any deal at all, or why the reporter even bothered to correct him.

Caroline, I could not agree more. This was the most frustrating episode of the season.

I didn’t know who he was, so I was listening to him and going “Is he Canadian...no, wait, is he Native American (First People up there, I think)...is he both?” Yup, both.

Brainy is taking Kara’s dad to Argo.

I would think having both parents out fighting crime every night would be a problem for fostering kids. That and Alex’s complete lack of job or source of income.

-sam — I read “have the corrupt warden...try to bump off Kara for sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong” and coffee shot out my nose, I was laughing so hard! Reminded me of this poster Melissa Benoist held up at an women’s anti-Trump protest:

Sort of a shame that in this version of Supergirl that she didn’t spend her early life-on-earth as ‘Linda Lee’ in an orphanage as she did in the comic book. There could have been a bunch of these stories with that younger actress.

-Pulitzer Prize winner Kara got absolutely snowed by the prison-industrial complex. I always wonder how much Supergirl intends to critique journalists with these storylines and how much is an accident.

I assume Jon still has his PI business and that the office is still downstairs but we just never see or hear about it anymore.

- How exactly do people not know who Martian Manhunter and Sentinel are? Kara at least has the excuse of tying her hair back and wearing glasses, as well as working in a profession where not as many people pay attention to your face as you would think (especially since she doesn’t do TV stuff). Both J’onn and Alex are

Goddammit Guardian? Again? Really? I’ve known about this for months now and I’m still annoyed. Like, it was awful when James was doing it, why would it be any better as Kelly? And really this is just another thing that’s really annoying about most of the Arrowverse shows, in that they can’t just keep people normal.

I was having a really hard time noticing anything different.

The minimal, if any, improvement is just proving how goddamn talented the original stop-motion animators were. The originals are fine.

S1's penultimate episode big setup was great too despite s1's problems.

They’re surprisingly (though not surprisingly- when you think about it) more richly produced than one might at first assume when listened to on a good sound system rather than, say, my shitty TV speakers.

I like that Zari acknowledged that Behrad was right about John being in over his head with the dark magic stuff
