I disagree. I am qualified to speak on relatively few things, but on this I can. Apathy and Ignorance are both well represented in the punk canon. 

There are people like this all over Southern California. This is not unique. 

He’s not saying he doesn’t need to do anything. He’s essentially saying the exercise is pointless, because none of the supposed benefit will reach people like “him.”
