I was walking out after Mad Max and behind a young couple in the parking lot. The woman complained the whole time about how she hated the movie and how stupid it was. I just wanted to bear hug the guy and say “It’s ok. There are other women out there who won’t crush your dreams”

It really was a great illustration. I had an “aha” moment as a kid. Loved the movie though.

I've been on almost all the depression drugs out there. I know what is placebo effect and what works. I've been really mentally ramped up to try something new that shows a lot of promise and gotten sicker and sicker. SSRI's work for me. I don't know why. I don't need to know why at this point. I'm alive because

My grandmother, who spoiled me rotten, would sometime send me to the "dungeon" which was just my grandfather's bedroom. It was boring. There were some watches on the dresser, and I could look out the window. Eventually I would just take a nap. It worked a lot better than the yelling and screaming my mom would do.

This was posed as an idea in a human sexuality class I took ages ago in college. I loved that the bathroom graffiti was "Susie eats squash"

I live in San Diego and can't believe there aren't serious mandatory water restrictions. Also, I know if I paid more, I would use less.

I loved it.

What the fuck is someone suppose to do if they are TALL!

OH do it! Delicious. Raw fish is so much better than cooked fish.

Why, you are absolutely right! My sister should have moved to the last row. All people should be seated according to height.

I love waking up early on the weekends, then getting a carbo heavy breakfast, followed by a big power nap.

My brother and I had them, so my Mom took pictures. She liked to take pictures of us when we were sick. She would pull out a picture and say "This was the sickest any of you kids ever got!" and my poor brother would be slumped over in bed.

The interesting thing for me is the studies that show that those who test positive for a Downs fetus, overwhelmingly abort. (Citation below) It's unlikely that all of those women are pro-choice. When it comes to THEIR personal lives, even anti-abortion advocates get abortions. Total hypocrisy.

I perm. My hairdresser won't even do it. I feel like I'm the only woman in American under 65 who still perms their hair. I love the curls and body! We all want what we don't have.

We found some letters and documents that my grandmother had written, and they were all in pencil. Pens weren't that common for everyday, common use.

I was at the Kennedy Center with my tall sister. The man behind us grumbled "You you get any taller" I turned around and said "Could you get any ruder?".

Curious if anyone has read "The Just City" by Jo Walton. Just finished it, but felt it was an experiment that didn't quite work.

That was my grandfather. He loved black people from other countries. Hated black people born in the US. There's all kinds of crazy racism.

I HATE that book. Miserable wretched people who deserved each other.

I will check that out. I liked this book because it tries to tell the other side of the story, from the slave and the indians they meet. Cortez makes an appearance. It's unbelievable how far they traveled.
