If he was more than a casual acquaintance I would be tempted. But he’s just so not worth the trouble. He’s all in for Jesus. No sense arguing with the ideologically entrenched.

I personally only use the dismiss button if people are being abusive. I don’t think it was appropriate to dismiss your response, but I’m guessing she took umbrage to you saying protesting was a poor approach that added fuel to the fire in a rather condescending manner.
The cat and I are not related.
I’m not saying one shouldn’t dismiss offensive replies at all. We absolutely should. My reply was in no way “offensive” tho.
I’m of the opinion that the idiots who damaged property were right-wing plants who were intentionally stirring up shit and trying to get the protesters riled up into joining them. I tend to agree with your sentiment here- free speech is not only for liberals and progressives, and to insist otherwise is pretty…
They did not decide not to give him attention. Dismissing removes his opinion from the view of others. Very different.
Sorry, I realize now I should have led with that info. She’s back to her original weight and has resumed her usual activities of patrolling our back porch and sleeping. I no longer have to hand feed her and she’s gained enough weight back that she can’t fit through the bars of the pet gate between the kitchen and the…
THANK YOU. Y’all are having these debates about the efficacy of consumer choices and milk thistle delivery methods, etc and I’m skimming the thread like “Yes, yes. BUT IS THE KITTY OK? WHAT HAPPENED TO KITTY?!” Whew. Well done, sir or madam. Well done.
Dismissing is a cowardly way to handle a genuine difference of opinion. That is how you deal with trolls. If you’re not willing to engage on an intellectual level, you diminish your own position greatly.
The amount of times you’d have to force a treat down their throat to give them the amount of calories they need would probably kill them, pill guns can be pretty rough on them. Animals with fatty liver/hepatic lipidosis refuse to eat, they have no appetite. There are medications that you can give them to improve their…
Ok so instead of engage, dismiss? Seems like that’s just running from a different opinion instead of understanding it. Fact is, that protest gave this asshole the oxygen he craves ... it had was the opposite of effective. My son goes to Cal and was a firsthand witness to the shitshow. All it did was make us on the…
will that work on a human? (asking for a friend).
I guess I could have announced in bold type that I bought them at Walgreens, which I’m sure is considered unacceptable by some.
If you buy them at the local health/ natural food store you’d probably find a better deal.
Could be, but either way they can keep their opinion.
I think that person missed your entire point and thinks you bought them on InfoWars....
For reasons I don’t want to get into, I recently purchased a milk thistle supplement roughly equivalent to the one Milo is hawking. (240 mg per tab for mine vs. 200 for the Infowars brand.) I paid $0.045 per tab, Milo’s magic pills are selling for $0.22 per tab. Once I add in the $13.72 for shipping that price goes up…
I went to Rhode Island once, rich people were rude and snobbish, the great unwashed masses stupid and mean. I am sure not all, I had no preconceived notions, was kind of looking forward to going. Left very unimpressed, sure there are great people there, they must have stepped out of the state for cigarettes or…
I can’t be the only one who read “Rhode Island’s youngest state senator” in the headline, glanced down to see a video freeze-frame of Paul DiMaio, and wondered “that’s Rhode Island’s youngest senator?”
I mean, fine, but I’d rather a biopic about Bessie Coleman.
