Why are men so desperate to disappoint two women at the same time?
Why are men so desperate to disappoint two women at the same time?
Except if you read the non-Jezebel takes on the story, she was probably railroaded by the police into making a false confession (impacted by language issues). It is unlikely that she took any action that directly led to her fiance’s death.
Jezebel got slammed for their poor reporting the last time they did an article…
The headline of this articel does not help. Nothing was deflated. They were in kayaks, like you see in a rack on top of Subarus sometimes.
Why is Jez so hellbent on reporting that wrong?
There are probably a lot of other issues in play here.
I would love to have a past lover back but he’s been dead since the mid oughts so my question is this: would being cremated be a problem?
I’m trying to make sense of this case and it is indeed confusing.
Yeah, I’ve read about this one multiple times, and I cannot for the life of me understand this woman’s statements or behavior.
This case has always been confusing and language issues seem to have played a role in her statements.
Look into the case, she didn’t murder him. She was railroaded.
Girrrrl, you too good for that dog. Trust.
That seems like not much time at all for murder.
A couple years for murder seems like punishment enough. I’m sure she has learned her lesson...
true, if it’s found to be valid. (i am a lawyer, but not in california, so i can’t speak to the legality of the NDA). even honoring the NDA, maroney couldve come fwd as part of “metoo” and generally talked about her experience, without disclosing names or that USA gymnastics was involved. if anyone willing to pay her…
All the young ladies’ accomplishments notwithstanding.
They are the toughest athletes known to man.
They are to be venerated.
I’m an Old Ass, so I see this:
Little girls getting the kind of psychological and physical abuse as if this was 1976 Rumania.
And overcoming all that shit to win a meaningless prize in the end.
I…
I saw another article on this that had a vaguely graphic detail of what he actually did to her. It honestly made me queasy to read. I don’t mean to minimize anyone elses issues but what he did to her (and I’m sure to many others based on the count) is so far beyond groping, I literally wish we could stone him to…
That seems to be the rub for me as well.
California CCP 1002 prohibits confidentiality provisions in suits based on acts that could be prosecuted as felony sex offenses, as was the case here. So that clause is invalid no matter what her representation was.
Yes. That is one element of the suit. She was pressured into signing an NDA that is illegal in California, namely one intended to shield evidence of sexual assault from the authorities.
As a human being, everything about this entire abuse history sickens me to my core.
