So much this. I’m an older white woman who lives in an area in Texas that is purple. Amongst my friends/acquaintances, the conservatives are evangelicals and the liberals/progressives are Catholics or members of more accepting mainline Protestant denominations (or atheists like me).

While white women overall voted for Moore 63 to 34, when you break out evangelical vs non, you get evangelical white women 76 - 22 Moore; non-evangelical white women 74 - 21 Jones. A clue right there

Shouldn’t we, as progressives, identify, define, and then destroy, our enemies? I am tired of pretending like understanding the other side matters. They are wrong and need to be brought to heel.

As a white woman, even I have no fucking idea what 60 percent of white female voters in Alabama were thinking. Thank you, black voters, for getting the job done.
