As a Canadian who often travels to the US for business, I can tell you that a lot foreigners know more about US politics and history then Americans.

This is a great time for Canada to sweep in and take over some of those sweet Caribbean Islands. They would be much better caretakers and Canadians would flock there in the winter.

Hell’s Bell’s! When I had to home-school Master Poodler in 2015, The first Geography segment we did was the Middle East — the Cradle of Life, Where the War is, and so on. My 10-year-old can show you where Iraq is on a map of the World.

Actually they usually think its the capital.

On a serious note, I am baffled that Geography is not a mandatory subject. I was raised abroad and Geography (eco-, geo-historical, etc.) was very important and useful! It’s not about memorizing state capitals, but how settlements develop, the composition of the earth, etc. I am preaching to the choir, I know. But if…

I’m Canadian, and I admit that my US geography knowledge is truly terrible. But even *I* knew this. I’m quite sure most 5th graders in the US know this. How does the occupant of the White House not know this?
