Nope. Read the Twitter comment I linked to, we are talking about the Zeke to Dak lateral. It is the only lateral shown in that video and a perfect angle of it being forward. Any other lateral doesn’t matter if one of them was forward. It’s academic anyway because the Cowboys did not score on the play. Game over…

I saw the video you posted and I saw the play live. The ball in the air when your video starts is traveling in the direction of the Cowboys endzone. That is a forward lateral. Did not even look close in real time, not even sideways. Was completely forward.

Are you saying that that is what the rule actually is or are you saying that is what the rule should be?

There had been an obvious forward lateral, so no matter what had happened from that point on the play would have been reversed and the flag would have ended the game. I still would have been more comfortable for the Green Bay Packer to take a knee when he got the ball though...
