This method worked great for me too! It was in the 90s so I had to physically go to the bank to make payments. A nice side effect was I learned to not be intimidated by banks to to be more active in my money management.

How does using a separate DNS prevent my ISP from seeing what DNS lookups I’m doing? If the traffic is unencrypted over port 53 no matter what DNS provider I use, they can just sniff for traffic on that port and see the same lookups, right?

Word. About a year ago I deleted all my social media accounts, FB, Twitter, Instagram, even LinkedIn. FoMO haunted me for months but I got over it. “No Feeds” = “Freedom” for me now.
