@Daniel Rappaport: I think iWeb has been updated as well as iDVD - it's just that the updates probably aren't as "exciting" which is why they didn't warrant demonstration.

@scojac: Well no, I understand that - but what if I want to just use the App Store to manage my apps? What if I enjoy the ease-of-use when it comes to updating my apps and the like? It would suck if I had to buy an app all over again just to get that same functionality. I would prefer if I import/enter my licenses

@Dinosaur!: That's actually pretty thought-provoking. I can see it making sense.

Whether you want to think about it or not, this is a win to consumers at the least. This adds a great way to see user reviews, one click updates, and even better - an easy place to find free apps.

@John H. Meyer: Exactly. This is a big deal to any non-techie, like my mom for example. Rather than having to install everything for her, or tell her where to go to get a certain app, I can just say, "Mom, click the App Store and search for 'Firefox'." Boom, done.

@peasant slayer: It's going to depend on the app, like always.

@my name is jonas: I believe you can still get apps the normal way, by downloading them. This is just a way to keep everything in one place.

@♥♦ Goopplesoft ♣♠: Yep, this will be the best way to find free apps now. No more hunting around on sourceforge and whatnot.

@wætherman: Macs will never be touchscreen, according to what Steve said. "Touchscreens aren't meant to be vertical."

@whatne1wuddo: The only thing that worries me about this is - what about the apps I already have? Could I transfer the licenses somehow without paying for it again?

@RecipeForHate: Hopefully it means they can cut out the snarky commentary unlike the last "live" blog.

So are you guys invited this time, or are you going to just be compiling and summarizing different feeds from different bloggers that are actually there and adding your own unnecessary and snarky commentary? Like last time?

@dallasmay: You're forgetting memory and processors. Screen size and resolutions aren't a big deal to program for, but what happens when you buy a game or hardware-intensive app and find out that it runs like shit on some phones and not others?

@MrCheatachu: I don't understand what this chart has to do with the others. Please explain your reasoning.

@cc: It's only a reasonable comparison to you. The Hero has a 528mhz processor vs the 3G's 412. And the Hero has 288 MB RAM / 512 MB ROM vs the 3G's 128 MB.

@dallasmay: Correct me if I'm wrong, but the hardware fragmentation is the bigger issue.

@WetSkeletonz: Oh I'm sure it's not worrying YET. A lot of the older Android phones still haven't become obsolete yet in terms of hardware. Wait till they do and then you'll have a shitstorm.
