Don’t buy the two way radios listed. Spring for a GMRS radio - there are many options that aren’t much more expensive than what was posted. They have a higher transmitting power and are thus capable of better range. Midland makes some solid ones that are a good “default” option.

I think what people are missing is that this would be as an alternative to a gas generator. If you have power at your house... then yeah use the power you have. But if you're buying a $600 generator, why not spend that money on a solar battery instead?

I love my Bronco, but I have it because I am RVing and wanted a vehicle I can take offroading and have as a daily driver. It is a very capable offroader, the Badlands beating any other stock vehicle except maybe a Rubicon, while being better on the highway than any Wrangler.

With the 7 speed I average 20mpg combined. A good amount of highway driving but also a good amount of offroading.

I have the manual so I can't speak to going to a stop, but it works pretty well. I've certainly had it go from ~65 to 15 in traffic and I can shift all the way down from 6th to 2nd without it cutting out.

“Internet access” isn’t exactly a finite resource. If you’re using low bandwidth websites you’re not really stealing anything. If you’re maxing out the connection downloading things (legal or otherwise) then that’s a problem because it will impact everyone on the network.
