Most of the examples of blackface being removed are either 100% harmless or are actually a commentary on racial dynamics and the stupidity of blackface.  God this push this week to remove these particular episodes are dumb as fuck.

A lack of any type of scale/scope is a huge problem in these movies.

Yeah, my issue with TLJ all along is that it has some really terrific moments—including one, the throne room scene, that’s among the very best in the franchise—but they never cohered into a fascinating movie, and the whole thing ended up being just an interesting mess.

The headline in no way suggests there’s a twist and is not even close to a spoiler. 

On a plotting level, this all came together fairly neatly. Thematically, some of it feels a bit too tidy to me; especially Veidt getting arrested for his crimes after all these years. For a sequel to a comic that was famous for not giving tidy, happy endings, that felt a bit too good to be true.

Colour me stunned that the answer here to “Must I tip 20%?” was yes.
