I’m struggling to see any connection to Link’s Awakening, aside from the fact that Link’s Awakening was itself inspired by Twin Peaks. Did they mean Mother?
I guess something that’s full of carcinogens can be considered strong, in a way.
I too have encountered some Starbucks that have skilled baristas (usually in Barnes & Noble cafes, hmm). But doesn’t the fact that the staff vary so much in skill defeat the whole idea of consistency? Plus, burning your product for the sake of consistency is kind of ridiculous. You’d think a conglomerate coffee…
You know what “latte” means, right?
I thought they pride themselves on burning the fuck out of their beans, which removes a lot of caffeine from them.
If saying that helps you sleep at night, go ahead. But you’re not right.
In the distance, you can see the words “Quitter’s Room.” The room also houses a poster that asks the player if he or she remembers being born. Huh?
Selective, meaning I read the first sentence and stopped there because it was false and put words in my mouth. lol @ the quoting Trump thing. Go away troll.
“So if a man designs a woman as badass and sexy then it’s objectifying but if a woman does it then it’s empowering?” Wrong. I didn’t say that—you’re putting words in my mouth. Have fun battling your strawmen.
lol, this isn’t about women being sexy and badass, it’s about men presenting an image of women that is sexy and badass. We’re not talking about someone’s personal choices, we’re talking about how men are presenting women in popular culture.
Even worse if she’s awake and just not talking.
It’s pretty disappointing so far that her only real quirk is that she’s bad at acting, and that she even takes a nap right when the team is about to have a serious conversation and lets the men talk. She’s one of the crew, but she’s not that inspiring.
There are a lot of sources. You can’t claim ignorance. Just go on Google Scholar and search for “objectification of women.”
Why are they all humans? There’s the one where they’re all tigers?
lol where did this idea that there’s nothing wrong with it come from? That stupid graphic someone made? False premise. There’s a lot wrong with objectifying women. I can’t believe we’re debating that.
There is a lot wrong with sexualizing women. It reinforces the idea that they are objects. It’s the root of wage disparity and all types of gender inequality. It also gives women the impression that they can’t do anything badass or even meaningful unless they are eye candy for men.
The fuck are you talking about? People are excusing the fact that characters are over-sexualized because they are claiming that’s just how the story is. I’m saying the story didn’t HAVE TO be that way.
That movie might be interesting to someone starting a Philosophy 101 class.
Yes, just be ignorant of the consequences your portrayals have on society and of the very real negative effects for half the population—just keep enjoying your life of stupidity and arrogance, because only your happiness (/the hardness of your dick) matters. Great message.
