The intention is not “to reduce life stress” but to provide sufficient room for parents to get their children into and out of their cars without leaving a dent in the car parked next to theirs, as well as get them into and out of a stroller and/or shopping cart easily and safely.

You wouldn’t want to put 200-300 miles / day on this.

Good Guess but wrong.

I disagree. I like the actual Williams Martini Design better than the Sean Bull Artwork, which by the way, would be more appealing if he at least used the actual Sponsors rather than the old / Le Mans inspirations (Porsche, Firestone, Shell? - Really?)

The license plate caught my attention as HDF is a common abbrevation for Halt die Fresse (Shut the [fuck] up)... But in this case apparently it’s the Model Designation of “HuaDa FuJian Toy Co., Ltd.”

*cough cough*

This, and Tom even called it “F31" twice..

Hey hey hey, don’t be greeedy now.

I wonder if Ben (via Tom) is ever going to get back with what he got in the end, but I genuinely believe the Phaeton is a great option

Fun fact - I actually did not know what ostentatious means.

A Pastor who walks most of the time and drives a Miata other times.

Came here to post exactly this. A VW Phaeton is probably the best ridiculously depreciated European Luxury car small money can buy.

No. As far as registration and road legality is concerned, it actually doesn’t matter whether a care is LHD or RHD (well I think the Laws in Australia are likely different, but Europe or the US won’t care).

You can an unmolested W8 for less than half the asking price from Germany (where everything is more expensive, particularly German cars!)

The question is bigger than that:
Is your car an Appliance / Utility to get from A to B, or does it mean more to you? Is it “fun”, your hobby, exciting you?

I was facing a very similar decision last year and had CX-5; X-Trail (US:Rogue); 3 Series F30 and Q50 on my shopping list.

Ended up getting the X-Trail initially as

This is *actually* what I did... admittedly the first competition was between CX-5 and X-Trail (Rogue in the US) and the X-Trail won that. Got a Q50 as a second car 1 year into my X-Trail lease. Everybody wins. :)

When done properly yeah, but not when they’ve been turned into stanced POS.

Kudos for admitting that. Forza and GT can leave you with a very dangerous impression of understanding the Nordschleife...

I see what you did there....

But on a serious note: About 30% of all [photographed] cars on tourist days are BMWs
31.3% in fact the last time I was out (followed by 10.5% Porsche, 10.1 Renault, 8.4 VW, 5.5 Ford etc.)

So logically you’d expect to see the vast majority of crashes involving BMWs.

Nope, the Ring does not employ people for that purpose.
This was a tourist day situation, when the Nordschleife is legally a public toll road. So unless / until Marshals arrive by car, friendly bystanders / spectators will take it on them to warn you that there’s a hazard ahead. Some will attempt it like the Gentleman
