This is from earlier this year

Doesn’t fit in, but needs to be talked about....

According to my coworker, her purchase of a giant vehicle was in response to everyone else’s giant vehicle, and her belief that such brawn would best protect her infant. And I’ve heard this from others, too.

Boeing has no incentive to be shady. It’s a fat government contract for a custom plane and they’re being well paid for it. I expect it’s just as much of a pain in the ass to work on (given security concerns and the specifications) as they are claiming it is.

It’s too bad, you know? For all the lives Boeing’s recent crashed planes have claimed, they could have earned back a lot of good will if they’d just crashed *one more* plane.

I shouldn't have to state the obvious, but the alliance of fascism and AI is not going to produce a good outcome for us.

The mass embrace of cold-blooded cruelty puts all the utopian sci-fi in a new light. Humanity was never going to band together to make a better world for everyone once fascists realized how many stupid people there are and their endless willingness to believe anything that triggers their rage or bloodlust.

Prepare yourselves for corruption on a level we’ve never experienced before. Trumps nominee for the Department of Commerce is the current CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, which has just been charged by the SEC for breaking the law.

As long as brown and non-straights of any ethnicity suffer, people have shown they are willing to allow their leaders anything and everything.

Tesla vehicles accounted for 40 out of the 45 fatal crashes reported through October 15

Not only cool with it but fucking ecstatic about it. Its all going to be a disaster.

Remember: Musk, Trump, and all their supporters will always default to do the most psychopathic thing possible. They get off on it.

Imagine being wealthy enough to buy yourself the government of the United States of America.

For a lot of people, Just having A PRICE is a feature. Haggling sucks. It just does. It adds anxiety and awfulness to a process that does not need it. And it justifies the need for car salesmen. Which are 100% unnecessary. Because we have the internet, we’ve already done the research.

This right here.  My daily is a hot hatch, but I commute that fucker.  Its just sometimes I let it rip on an onramp or at a redlight (within legal limits).  But I still look at workaday cars and think it’d be nice to have one of those to do the job my current car is doing just fine, because that regular car would do

I like this take a lot. Learning to enjoy cars for what they were intended for is still being a car enthusiast. We like machines with oily whirly bits. A truck or a van can be just as interesting as a sports car if you approach it like the machine it is.

Honestly, most of the dumbest stuff I’ve ever heard about cars comes from enthusiasts and is best summed up as “there’s only one way to enjoy cars, and that’s my way.”

Call me Tesla hater, and I don’t care if I’m minority here but IMO as EV, it’s better looking outside and inside compare to Tesla line-up

It’s clear that Tesla is correct and the accident was caused by “own negligent acts and/or omissions.”  Specifically, he trusted what Elon Musk has repeatedly said in various forms about FSD being safer than a human driver.

Listen, those seats are great for a sports car to keep you planted while tearing up the corner...Those are not great for just trying to relax in. The bolsters are too narrow and they look out of place.
