Pardon me, but this entire digression borders on insane. Here’s a handy guide for anyone who is debating whether they should coast downhill or leave their car in gear

Right, or a modern combined cycle power plant. Reducing the exhaust temperature is important, too. Wankel exhaust tends to be hot, and requires expensive catalytic converters. My RX-8 cat died and the replacement one was very pricey.
I think that rotaries will be much more reliable when running at a single speed. There are a few companies looking into it. The AIE CREEV design is really interesting. It has a second rotor that is powered by the exhaust from the first. It lets the exhaust expand and cool, while still consuming unburnt hydrocarbons.…
It occurs to me that you might be able to make a rotary range extender small enough to be removable. Design the whole thing to fit in a frunk. Keep it in the garage until you go on a long trip (or rent it). When it’s not installed, there’s additional storage space.
I thought that was Steve-O and Madona...
can confirm as a chalfont resident, that scout is a friends husbands and its awesome!
I’m very pro-nuclear. It boggles my mind why we don’t have it here (PR issue).
why bother? their customers won’t buy anything other than black, silver, white, or beige anyway.
Lol I remember the “command style seating” commercials now that you mentioned that.
This affirms my thought that Jason is actually a budget spec Daniel Simon.
I have a local Alfa dealer. Turns out they sell Alfas there.
Anyone here think the Continental is too small? First time I saw one in person I was shocked by how small it is. Doesn’t seem to fit the name’s heritage.
The steelie and center cap/dog dish look needs to come back - it looks beautiful when done right. :D
“I still can’t get over the fact that after all the ignorant stuff that happened. I got pinched for a tinted plate cover”
Typically when using a van for filming they have the side or rear doors open to get rolling shots of whatever car is being featured. I’m sure they were pulled over for doors or rear hatch being open.
I’m guessing the camera vehicle was driving down Coastal Highway with the sliding door or rear hatch (or both) open to get footage. Not exactly normal to see and totally acceptable to pull them over.
Very good news just in case the flatbed gets into an accident.
Rumor has it that the front-impact test had to be redone several times as the car would inexplicably stall just halfway down the track.
Had to be towed for the test, just like real life.
It was able to pass the tests because none of the tests relied on the Guilia’s drivetrain for motion.
