It is nice to have that pricked vinyl or leather to give your hands a bit of extra purchase.

That somehow sounds more delicious than the standard McMuffin, which is pretty much the fast food breakfast gold standard already.

Well, I mean, China isn’t exactly known for their environmental consciousness.

Lets see, I graduated college in the midst of the last one, and got a job working for a small nonprofit for about half of what I should have been making, for about 4 years, then things started to pick up.

Are those Florsheims?

I had an old Cadillac that had a number of strange problems. The air suspension would occasionally get stuck in a high position, so I’d drive around for a day or two looking like the back of the car was jacked up like people used to do to cheap old muscle cars in the ‘70s and ‘80s, but then it would magically correct

I don’t think there is one, there’s a lot of fakery going on with those massive grilles.

I know, right? Mine claimed to have washed my sock garters, but they were still covered in schmutz.

Doge Neon, Nevada plate KFBR392.

Someone still drives an H2 in 2019? Was he also wearing an Old Navy Tech Vest and carrying a Nokia flip phone?

According to a certain car collector in Michigan, that Pontiac is perfectly good and worth at least $3,000.

A quick check online shows that it was developed around 1989-1990, which would explain why there was already an artificial pond there to dump the car into. Also, if it was an active construction site as opposed to a fully inhabited neighborhood, you could see a car thief figuring it was a discrete place to dump it.

Im sure Abe doesn't know about it, big war, lots of ships getting torpedoed.

It is only a concept car. By the time they get it in front of focus groups composed of current owners of competing brands, it may well turn into that.

Yep, aside from general littering, air pollution dropped 73% between 1970 and 2017, thanks to environmental regulations. Things in general are a lot cleaner and safer now than they were 50+ years ago. In this country, anyway, some other places not so much.

Littering was a huge issue with them. Add in the fact that most people smoked and threw cigarette butts everywhere, and roads and sidewalks were disgusting. Of course, everyone was also walking around with borderline lead poisoning all the time, so pick your battles.

Isnt China marketing a modernized version right now?

Stunningly gorgeous. The 1935ish-1949 period has to be my favorite era of car design, followed by the '60s.

This is exactly like those people on hoarding reality shows who go to pieces over throwing away buckets of feces or an empty cracked Cool Whip container, because they want their things and had plans for them.
