Yes, the generation spanned 1945-1962/1963ish, they were anywhere from 16/17-34 by 1979. Gen x were all teenagers or younger, and Charlie Daniels appealed mainly to the older Boomers and the tail end of the generation immediately before, not Xers.

They do the same thing with suits, Armani Collezioni has nothing to do with the original company and has fused (e.g., glued) canvases, Giorgio Armani is from the actual firm and has an actual floating canvas (though even they are kind of over hyped).

Well, yeah, but they didn't just debadge it or make the grille look more generic, they grafted the fascia of another, actual truck from a rival brand onto it. It would be like an insurance company during the front of a Civic onto a Corolla to avoid a trademark issue with Toyota.

I don't get it, isn't that just a picture of the robot from Star Trek?

And the Landspeeder was also styled by Tom Karen, the same designer responsible for the Bug and Mk1 Reliant Robin (and also the Similar GTE, among others).

And if these are the ones that made it through focus groups, I’d hate to see the rejects. ISIL IPA? MS13 Pale Lager?

wouldn’t, that’s just another version of terrible.

Yes, at one point, many British car buyers were under the assumption that Ford was actually a domestic UK brand, given how deeply ingrained and invested they were in the country. I guess it became obvious they weren’t, when they totally packed up and left.

Well, one of the hosts punched a PA in the face over not getting a steak, and the other two quit in solidarity, so I don’t think the BBC had a whole lot of choice here.

I don’t think many 15 year olds were listening to Charlie Daniels in the late ‘70s. If anything, he maybe skewed slightly older than Boomer.

Also Rock You Like a Hurricane

Devil Went Down to Georgia is also a Boomer generation song...

Or the Studebaker Dictator.

A sidecar builders, they were already well acquainted with aluminum and weight savings, I believe there was a 7cwt weight limit for a motorcycle and sidecar combination in the UK at the time.

It was the mid 2000s, boot cut jeans were in, even if you weren’t wearing boots.

No, Reliant's been gone since 2002, so they're a safe target. Well, the shell of the company still exists as an OEM parts supplier for their old cars, but they're not an automaker anymore.

Jeremy Clarkson had to use a bunch of tricks to get it to roll. Unequal wheel sizes on either side, wrong tire pressure, welded diff, and unbalanced heavy weights inside.

Supposedly, Jonathan Heynes was working on an electric version of the new generation Reliant Robin back in the 90s, before he had to give up control of the company. Since he was also working on an updated 4-wheeled Bug variant at the same time, it's reasonable to think that the EV drivetrain could have gone into that

Well, they do have a meatless salad. Also their fries might be, too.

Hot take: the McLean Deluxe was delicious and I wish McDonald’s still had it.
