Which was the style at the time.

I mean, I really don’t want to stereotype here, but if you asked me to describe to a sketch artist what a guy who would shoot his girlfriend over an argument about the respective merits of two domestic car brands would hypothetically look like, it would probably come out looking exactly like that.

Depends on who you’re talking about. I mean, I draw the line at tolerating people with Pöpli pencil holders.

Its Lexus, since they’re the best Toyotas that Toyota can make.

The USSR was a big oil producer (as is Russia today), and they actually did keep their fuel pretty cheap. Low quality, hence their very low compression ratios, but cheap.

That is really well done - throw on some bumpers, and it could pass as maybe a rejected Buick design the corporate overlords forced on Opel and scaled down for Europe.

Contrarians?

Yeah, I think the Journey actually is, but the Transit Connect is slightly more. Though, I doubt anyone pays MSRP on the Dodges.

Its mostly on the leading edge of the hood, so that checks out.

I thought he was in the Bahamas?

I would love it if someone were to adapt all the original novels in a period-correct manner, set in the '50s and '60s.

And seats 5 people comfortably. If youre willing to accept the inconvenience of two doors, the Challenger can even work as a family car, given the interior and trunk space. Plus, it legitimately does just over 30mpg highway with the V6, which is pretty impressive.

Its also the absolute cheapest 7 passenger vehicle you can buy. For a family on a budget, it does the job.

Im not so sure about the build quality lag with the Mustang, as FCA doesn't seem to be having as much trouble getting their paint to stay attached to the car.

Thats how it works in Europe and Japan, typically because dealers have less real estate for storage. Customers are also more comfortable ordering a car and waiting for delivery.

That, and GM has to cut something - it was between Oldsmobile and Saturn, and Saturn had almost all stand-alone franchises, while Oldsmobile showrooms were nearly all shared with at least one other GM brand, so they were cheaper to buy out.

If you have the money, you can do anything you want. Back in the ‘70s, Ford strongly suspected that they had a dealer in Japan who was exporting to North Korea through an intermediary, but they could never prove it.

So was the Flying Spur, didn’t stop Bentley from claiming that name. And they did technically build one Bentley Camargue, so that does give them some justification.

What I want to know is, could this be the basis for a new Bentley Camargue? The world could use that.

Wow, I’ve actually used “campi” many times over the years, and nobody has ever corrected me on it. Now I feel like an idiot.
