I live in a state without front license plates, so it's absolutely zero concern of mine. I do prefer it that way, but just don't understand why automakers don't take them into account in their designs, given most of the world uses them.

I was a traveling account manager before, my schedule for the past several years was 250+ miles a day of work related driving, this is a major step down from that. And my drive is mostly country back roads with little to moderate traffic.
I do live in a first world country, I do have the luxury of not having to bother with more serious issues, I’m not apologizing for that.
I don't like the way they look on almost any car, its visually offensive to me and I prefer not to have one.
Its not about taking away our rights, it's about our license plates being really ugly and bulky looking and cars not being designed to accommodate them without looking terrible.
The question is whether that will interfere with any safety systems though. Adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, automatic braking, etc. Not sure where all the Supra’s censors are, but a lot of cars seem to be putting them toward the sides of the bumpers.
I have to say, not having a front plate is actually one of the reasons I continue to live where I do. I work in Maryland, and commute 2 hours round trip, my boss keeps asking when or if I’m going to move closer.
