Okay. I don't buy that it would be Lillian who would kill her own daughter given that all other times that she has used Metallo and attacked Lena, she has kept Lena alive and also specified that Lena should be kept alive. So I assume that if it's the Luthors who sent Metallo, Lex is more likely than Lillian to want

They should be a joke but Steve Bannon is a no joke white supremacist. And he's in the White House. When the KKK marched in North Carolina the day after the elections, I guarantee they were terrifying to minorities there, not merely a joke.

The Superman radio show in the 1940s was hugely popular and featured a storyline of Superman fighting the Klu Klux Klan which has been given substantial credit for diminishing the Klan's popularity. http://dangerousminds.net/c…

Floriana Lima's primarily of Italian descent and other European countries. Some people consider that to mean she's Caucasian but (treading into dangerous territory) I think she does fit the broad descriptor of "non-white". It would likely be offensive to label Maggie on the show as anything other than Floriana's

Canon wise, this version of Maggie has only ever been described as "non white" and if the creators are smart, they don't try to go anywhere near Hispanic ethnicity with her in the future.

Perhaps Alex just doesn't want Mon-El hanging around and pretended she couldn't do anything for him. That's my smart girl, Alex.

Didn't Lex send Metallo to murder his sister by drone at the start of the season?

I think in the episode "Alex", they mentioned Maggie crashing at Alex's place implying that they still have separate apartments.

I was meh on this episode. To enjoy it, you would have to be invested in the Mon-el/Kara romance and lots of punching with seemingly little variation, neither of which I had much patience for. Especially for the Rhea/Kara fight sequences, I found myself very aware of the Taken-esque cuts to body doubles.

Impeachment is a political process, rather than a judicial process. Only a critical mass of members in Congress can impeach Trump. So the lack of an impeachment is not evidence against his guilt. The kind of smoking gun evidence that might convince you doesn't just show up out of thin air. It needs a dedicated,

I agree with a lot of what you said and I've pretty much given up on this season holding any consistent philosophy. But I will say that I thought Lillian Luthor backstabbing Kara and Kara being clear eyed that Lillian Luthor would continue to be evil was enough for me to accept the alliance between the two.

The Teri Hatcher, Calista Flockhart, and Brenda Strong diva off was such an embarrassment of riches. Every time one of them was on screen, which was most of the episode, I was going yessss to all the glorious camp. I can take and leave Lynda Carter. I know Amanda Waller was already used in Arrow but can we please have

I wouldn't put it past the writers but remember how the first season's love triangle was so well received? And by so well received, I mean not at all. Aiyayyay.

She did try with her eye beams. She was hit by some backfire or defense mechanism to the ground.

For an episode about a character I didn't much care for, I really liked this episode. James finally got his head out of his ass and realized that heroes don't have to punch people in the face and his motivations are finally fleshed out to the point that they sound less whiny than usual. Where was this all season? I've

Yeah. They literally told us Kara had her 13th Earth birthday one week and then the next week, Jeremiah says he's been kidnapped for 15 years.

Dear god, I hope not. I haven't been this irritated with a love interest since Mako in the Legend of Korra.

I thought all of it was executed pretty well actually. Maggie does apologize to Supergirl in the last scene where they hug and Supergirl acknowledges that she learnt the lesson from Maggie. And I liked the use of J'onn to try and trick the preternaturally genius villain.

Having watched Maggie and Alex exchange I love yous a good 1 1/2 months after Mon-El anguishedly declared his wuv for Kara (after dating Kara for all of 1 month), I think that Maggie and Alex are being set up for the long term whereas Mon-El feels like a one season character. So I suspect the writers gave short shrift
