Oh god, what a piss-off for me. I just collected the first four Marvel Masterworks Uncanny X-Men (or exactly what's in the omnibus) and paid about $40 more than whoever gets it for you will. And they will get it for you, because it is OUTSTANDING. The cheese isn't 60s levels, but it is definitely soapy. Everything

I agree. I think they are using Bree as having a false example of feminism and abusing principles women have fought for years to achieve. I see a lot of feminazism presented, or at least, more than feminism.

I was uncertain how to grade this episode until now, thank you.

A great conversation, though the audience misses much of it, is the debate between rabbit or duck

Mother Mary come to me?

I think it's HIMYM and Philosophy, to be pedantic. On a more contributing note, I wish they would have held off until the series finished, for the essays about the mother to fit in. Suppose that wouldn't sell as well though.

The sage-ness comes from her being a bit too both perceptive and giving in her wisdom. Really, how is she to know that the Barnacle is a good guy and frankly, why should she give him that "gift"? She was about to get on a subway, why should she sit and shoot the shit with a guy who just tried to hit on her?

Of course, she's a PC!

She was surprisingly open about the fact that he may not be the one. Were a stranger to ask me that question, I would probably reply, "Nothing is ever certain, but I hope so." Short relationships are allowed to be headed nowhere, but longer-term ones are kinda based on the premise that you want to continue to spend

On most shows, I'd agree, but HIMYM lives and dies on the flashback. As you noted, the whole thing is Bob Saget telling a story, but moreover, the show consistently uses the device of having a story be re-told, with layers unfolding.

I know I'm late, but screw it, I gotta comment

In my mind, an A episode of HIMYM has a consistent thread running through its three plots that the audience only sees at the end, but further enriches our experience on re-watch. Instead, this episode just pulled out some big emotional moments and called it a day. I think it's shocking that this show, specializing

You and I share similar circumstances with BotA. I've really gotten into the X-men over the past six months, so this one timed out really well for me. I hate crossovers and the obligation to buy a bunch of things I normally wouldn't, but this one has allowed quite a big story to be told with all my favourites

I said it was embarrassing!

My embarrassing story comes from this, actually.

Ted seems like the guy that would overcompensate and tip too much, because he wants everybody to like him. Or hey, maybe he does his weird overcritical thing and that explains his under-tipping.

Especially since it's completely in character with NYC-raised, semi-rude Lily.

I saw an almost direct knockoff of early seasons Rory at the bookstore I work at today. I say almost, because an exact Rory would have been a regular customer.

¿Por qué no los dos?
