You are joking, right? All of this Beyonce "worship" is a big joke- we are supposed to be laughing, right?

I don't really think it's possible to upstage someone who is performing in a different venue, to a much larger if somewhat overlapping crowd, on a different night. I know Jezebel Loves Beyoncé but this is a stretch.

I do not know when it was decided that Beyoncé worship was compulsory, but I'm mot gonna do it.

Thank you! Everyone acts like she's just amazing all of the time. She's kind of meh to me.

Oh for Christ's sake, can we get thru at least one goddamn day without Jezebel proclaiming that BEYONCE IS THE MOST EPIC SINGER EVAHHHHHHHHH

Do we have to pretend like every Beyonce performanc is epic? Her Grammy performance was one of her worst IMO but everyone acts like we should bow down or something. Between the "surfboard" and Ike Turner references, Drunk In Love has to be one of her weakest singles lyrically and vocally.

I don't know if I totally agree with these guys but he once came into a Bay Area AT&T because his "phone wasn't working" (really he didn't pay his $100 phone bill). His entourage tried to steal a phone case while they were there and he disrespected any employee he was in contact with.

A Californian once said "You should, like, move to the East Coast" to me AS AN INSULT. It was spectacular. People truly found me outrageous at times; bizarre.

This is why Elvis Stoyko had so many problems. The official want masculine yet when they get it, as in Stoyko they don't give a hoot about it and degrade him. That guy was always caught in the middle during his career.

CA native here. When I was getting off BART one day, I saw a couple in their early 60s, with the husband trying to negotiate getting both large suitcases either up the long, steep staircase or the narrow escalator. I offered to help them, of course, and did so.
They exclaimed to each other that it was clear they

Ha, I had the reverse — moving from London to California. People were frequently just *shocked* by how "mean" I was. I loved living in LA but that part of it was frustrating.

until I moved to New York where people responded to my grin by saying ‘You’re not from here are you?’

I know several people who will tell you how one of their parents didn't love them. One of my friends even asked her Dad why he didn't love her, and he said "I don't know." Just never bonded, and he was her biological father and everything. Oprah is right: love is a verb.

What I find most interesting about this is how different people relate to the myth that every parent loves their child. Some people are willing to confront that myth as a myth. And some people can't. Reality always has to be negotiated based on the premise that their parent loved them.

Ya know? I was going to get all snarky and snobby about the terribleness of Olive Garden and say something about how I'd rather just stay home, etc. etc. But if this provides parents who don't usually get any time alone with an affordable date night (especially since they otherwise might not have it) then that's nice!

"colorblind white people": Why does everything have to be about race?! Can't we focus on the fact that this little girl made a huge accomplishment at such a young age? Who cares if she's "black"? I don't see race! The people who want race to be a focus in the movie are the real racists! The racism she faced doesn't

From the title I was seriously expecting that they cast a blonde white lady in the role.

I guess if the Bay Area could support two pro football teams in the current climate, then LA could easily do the same.

In 2012, the city rejected a plan that would have pumped $700 million in taxpayer dollars into improvements on the Edward Jones Dome,
