I’m just speaking generally that some folks get too hung up on spending money, and that isn’t what the holidays should be about.

“Although it was concluded that Mr. Berk inappropriately touched Mr. Fraser, the evidence supports that it was intended to be taken as a joke and not as a sexual advance.”
What was the question? We can’t all watch (or want to watch) videos.
You think the NFL sucks and then FIFA just runs away with the title of most disgusting pro sports organization in the world.
FIFA doesn’t care if slaves built those stadiums or if women will be treated like shit or that homosexuals get executed in Qatar. As long as the money is flowing those assholes are happy
Assuming that all women (or any group) share the same opinion is a bit silly. Also, my read of the article is the she is speaking less about her sexuality, but rather other (shitty) people’s (shitty) reaction to it. To the OP’s point, social media is the root cause, simply because it gives voice to the worst urges of…
Yeah exempting trucks like this from the gas guzzler tax is completely ridiculous.
The gas guzzler tax NEEDS to apply to these things. It’s completely insane that there’s no additional tax on a monster like this.
As a consumer the prospect of spending 20x grocery store prices for treats, dealing with traffic, parking, sticking to the floor, and loudmouth fellow patrons Vs. enjoying the same content virtually free with a projector and sound-bar and all the snacks I can stomach for cheap in a controlled environment and not…
I’m a pretty avid reader of pop culture stuff and I don’t recall hearing it (pun intended, sort of). There’s my new thing I learned today.
Cloth rustle, for example, is tricky to edit and leads to more ADR
Honestly picture quality in streaming has gotten so good that a good 4K stream can be hard to tell from a 4K bluray in a lot of setups but I can tell the difference between streaming sounds vs sound coming from physicals media instantly.
I don’t have much of a problem either unless the actors insist on mumbling their lines, and that seems to be very acceptable lately. The last two times I went to the cinema though, was an absolute disaster. Could barely make out a word - and no subtitles, of course.
Lol you could rent VHS and Beta VCRs at the screwiest places! Like, a lot of grocery stores rented a few movies (I rented the 1986 House from the local Great Scott) but I think a Hallmark store rented VCRs for a while
Good to know that it’s not just my brain failing to decipher dialogue in my native language, but it sucks that this has become the industry standard.
Yeah that’s why I still use a real receiver and 5.1 setup, though some shows I actually do have to hook up my earbuds to hear well but they’re few and far between.
this would be much better than what we currently have in Indiana. in Indiana if you have an EV you have to pay a flat $150 fee every year on top of your other registration fees. that fee isn’t bad compared to the gas tax if you drive a lot but if you don’t drive a lot, like myself, it means you are paying a lot more…
Good rule of thumb, the younger cast are more likely to not be transphobic and the older cast is more likely to be, there are exceptions of course but that's usually how it goes. Also Daniel Radcliffe is pretty swell guy, not content to be just the Harry Potter guy his whole life and I can respect that.
Yeah. Those specials were formative to generations of Weird Kids. “So you’ve got big ears or a weird nose, or some disability that the other kids tease you for? Kid, you’re going to save Christmas!”
I’d like to briefly brag here: After Endgame I went out and bought the Jason Aaron/Russell Dauterman original run of Jane Foster Thor spanning from her introduction until “War of the Realms”. I was NOT expecting so many lines and scenes to be adapted directly from those books I read.
I wasn’t a Harry Potter kid and I…
