Yep - Yellow RPM Ranger!
Yep - Yellow RPM Ranger!
I tried the first two episodes, and I just wasn't really feeling it. Which surprised me because the premise + music seems like something right up my alley. Are the first two eps decently representative of the feel of the show, or am I missing out on something that comes later?
Well, it's no Power Rangers Time Force…er, wait, it kind of is.
Sometimes I wonder how many attractive twentysomethings the CW had to sacrifice to the gods to suddenly have such a stellar roster of shows these recent years. I'm a late-comer to The 100, but damn if this show isn't the one I'm going to be most excited about week to week this season.
Hilary Duff vs. ridiculous circle dress was giving me vivid flashbacks to the so-bad-it's-good Lizzie McGuire Movie.
Glad we're getting reviews for this season - thanks, Alexa! I was worried when they didn't go up last week.
Is that Critics' Choice Award Winner Andre Braugher on my TV?
Solid life decision. Seasons 1 and 2 in particular are stellar.
I'll take one Jay Garrick in a tux to go, please.
Of course the one week I don't get to the new episode right away there's a frakking Blue Ranger shout-out! It's like they know I'm watching! As if this episode couldn't get any more meta, it naturally had to reference Rose McIver's history as a Power Ranger.
Of all Charles's highly inappropriate phrasings, "Boyle oil" may have earned a spot as the ickiest.
"23 songs that are great despite being pro-Jesus"
No Brooklyn Nine-Nine at all, even on this, the kiddie table of lists? Terry loves yogurt, but Terry does not love being left out.
Apparently seasons 1 & 2 are on Hulu…so basically there's no hope of anyone ever seeing it.
That Please Like Me made this list at all is a triumph, especially for a show almost no one in the US had heard of a year ago. It may not be the objectively "best" show, but it's probably my favorite of the year, up there with Hannibal and You're The Worst.
Chelsea Peretti's line readings as Gina are so delightfully unpredictable. Gina would be the best documentary narrator of all time.
It airs on Pivot in the US, a small, moderately obscure cable channel.
This is a combined review for episodes 9 and 10, since they both aired together in the US tonight. There's a grade tab for each at the top.
What an amazing season of television this has been. There's so much to cover in these two episodes alone.
So many adorable moments in this episode. Lindsay and Paul's duet (even if they're not meant to be), Edgar and Dorothy's bus stop reconciliation, Gretchen and Jimmy's reactions to the "I love yous". That this show manages to be funny and dark and dramatic and adorable is nothing short of miraculous.
