Bonds’ number started to dip around the turn of the century, around the time most “experts” suspect he started juicing 2000-2003. We have no idea how he would have preformed during the 2md half of his career w/o PEDs. There have been plenty of players that had great halfs of their careers that aren’t in the HOF.

You can’t really say that Bonds was on the the GOATS b/c of the PEDs. They completely changed his trajectory. Yes, he was great prior to them, but we have no idea how he would have preformed w/o them.

He was an above average hitter on a team full of talent, and saw great pitches due to it. He would have never gotten 3k hits on a team like the Royals or the A’s - or any team that wasn’t loaded top to bottom.
