There’s a few other programs that are free to use for use on an Android device. As for iOS type devices, I’m not any help, as I don’t use it, but I’d imagine that the kindle reader would work on them too.

This one's a no-brainer. You don't need these anymore. All the music and movies you want are on the internet now or can be stored on a hard drive. So rip them and make some space on your shelves. Bonus: most urban recycling centers accept CDs and DVDs in your blue bin.

I'd say, the only way for someone to know, is to try it themselves. Asking someone that's eating at McDonalds (Windows), if the Burgers are Better at Burger King (have it your way, Linux) or not, will likely get you an answer that McDonalds are better.
