Maybe I’m wrong, but the devs rarely see any extra money for their work after sales and it all goes to the publisher. Epic caters towards the publishers and not the devs.

Realistically the $60 value of RDR2 was in the single player. The multiplayer is just recycled assets stapled at the end for people who want it.
