Wait, what's the source? (Not that I don't believe you — I want to read the rest of it!)

Mmmm, tripe….

True, but it's because we've been spoiled by POI's quality. I never expected a network procedural (or what started out such) to be this good, this consistent.

"Ghost Carter and Bridal Root" needs to be a band name.

Yeah, it's definitely slower compared to the usual POI ep.

I know you put "SPOILERS" there but some of that info in your paragraph is not necessary to explain Karen, and a fairly big spoiler for people scrolling past who might accidentally read it.

In my experience, Chinese grandmothers who understand English as well as the FOTB-grandmother seems to also speak English in response when they are addressed in English. That bit on Fresh Off the Boat bothers me more than it probably should.

He sounds like he's having an asthma attack when he speaks Mandarin.

The thing about not being a comic book reader is I never know if you guys are joking with these throwaway lines about crazy comic book plots. I love it.

Agree with the frustratingly vague motivations of crime organizations — what was Fisk's endgame going to be exactly? It was giving me Arrow flashbacks. But disagree about the generic super-hero-y ending. I agree that it didn't really fit the tone of the show up to that point, but damn if it didn't get me pumped for

Is this a Robert Queen-style list?

I haven't read the comics, but Foggy doesn't read as upper middle-class to me. (Or maybe I just lack understanding of the class system.) What upper middle-class parents want their kid to open a butcher shop? (In gentrified Brooklyn, maybe…) I read him as a scholarship kid, and that's why he was so obsessed with making

For me it changes from moment to moment. At least no one can call his performance conservative…

Oh my god I was so confused for a sec. I also thought he was that serial killer from Hannibal, but turns out he's a relatively unknown actor.

Noooooooo Foggy/Karen 4 lyfe

Is he though? I thought he just deliberately doesn't correct Foggy's impression of him as such to cover for his nighttime activities.

That's why I feel like characters like Foggy are essential. It helps a lot to have him.

I love Foggy. He radiates goodness (never read the comics); I hope he doesn't descend into jealous bro territory over the course of the series.

I can't deal with the pain by myself.

Why…….. one is bad enough………….. (I do however like the overall trend of more comics shows on TV.)
