Looking at the pump yesterday, here in Canada, I’d say the spike is already starting.
This. For trucks & SUVs, torque down low is where it’s best appreciated. That’s what makes the Eco boost and big v8s feel so great in a truck. :)
You realize that determining which engine is more advanced by looking at power per displacement is a bit like choosing the best spaghetti sauce looking only at jar size, right?
It’s tough to compare a boosted 3.5L v6 to a NA V8 but I totally hear what you’re saying.
What a Time to be alive when 420 HP is just Meh..... who cares..... I remember in the 90's if you were packing 200 horse you were a supercar!
do either have solid rear axle, body on frame, or tow 8,100lbs......no? thought so.
The rotary is Good. The rotary is Right. Pistons must die. End the Piston. Praise Ahura Mazda. Let the rotaries sing in an endless chorus, proud and valiant as it always has been.
Spoken like a true person who’s never had to buy a quart of oil every-other-fillup.
“Didn’t like” meaning “had HIV”, which made it even worse.
The acronyms NASA or LMP1 don’t have the words “spaceship” or “car” in them. NASCAR has the word “car” in it.
My brother-in-law is on his third. He also wears shoes with Velcro.
I had one of those (a ‘73) in orange with a black hood. Like my ‘70 Opel GT, a marvelous car in so many ways. Good handling, adequate power, nice ride, just a really pleasant automobile. I was an idiot back then, sold the GT after two years (from new) because I wanted a back seat. My poor Rallye was in three…
I had a Manta Berlinetta, very similar to that one! Lovely car, I had to get rid, it had an engine problem and the floor had rotted in the driver’s footwell, and I sadly didn’t have the resources to fix it, which I regret to this day. Would love another, though.
my first car was a 72 Rallye that I bought from my sister for $40 with a blown motor. rebuilt the motor, Pacesetter header, glass pack, HD shocks, and a Holley/Weber progressive carb. beat the SNOT out of that thing. 118mph, tapped out in 4th.
Same goes for me, but I know the reason I have fallen for them: the Malaise Motors group on Facebook. It is literally my favorite FB group!
1st Gear: I think it has little to do with Millennials not wanting what their parents have and more having to do with the fact that there aren’t a whole lot of Millennials that have $40K burning a hole in their pocket for a weekend toy.
A semi-positive Tesla article? I didnt think that was allowed here!
Why is this post full of photos of tube-frame Trans Am cars if you are arguing for the use of factory chassises? ...chassiss?...damnit *googles it* Oh the plural of chassis is chassis.
