I never understood why people tried to limit the definition of racism to just institutional racism. It’s stupid, dishonest, and comes across as an attempt to say that only white people can be racist.
TBF, that description applies to most humans. Or at least a lot of the ones I've known.
Because it excuses their own racism. “I can’t be racist. I’m not white.” Then proceeds to be racist toward everyone.
