Most EV’s start with a tax credit that is treated as an instant $7500 discount.  You you have to start with $(MSRP - 7500) to get an accurate view of EV depreciation.

There is no reason why warranted car maintenance has to be done by franchised dealers.  This, too, is just a historical artifact and serves to prop up the ‘good ol’ boy’ dealership networks.

FYI, the phrase “XYZ is dead. Long live XYZ.” is ~600 years old at least:

Yeah it’s probably an amazing spectacle if watched on a big screen with big speakers, but the plot is crap. Maybe if you had read the comic books or studied up on the ‘mad max’ lore of the 70's and 80's then it would be more than a visual spectacle?

So basically a Chinese version of the Chevy Blazer EV?

Re: GM EV’s

  • Static inductive chargers for cars have been around for at least *10 years*. From what I read, this is what is being used as a demo with an Israeli bus system. Here’s an example marketed to for the Chevy Volt back in 2013: https://gmauthority.com/blog/2013/06/evatran-brings-wireless-charging-to-the-chevy-volt/

Replace the horses! Let’s go really old school and get palanquins / litters. Out-of-work gig / taxi workers can get additional side jobs carrying tourists on romantic ride-jogs through NYC city streets.

Technically they are both: ‘mild hybrid’ on the lower end drivetrains, and full PHEV on the high end drivetrain with the excessively complicated 2.0 I4+turbo+supercharger (for FWD) + electric for RWD.

*good* EV systems let you disable the one-pedal auto-regen mode and just drive it like a normal automatic with accelerator / brake.

So like a vastly overinflated A5?

Grand Cherokee is a crossover.
