People like this should be unable to receive a motorcycle license for life, and probably further limited to driving a vehicle with >10 second 0-60 and top speed of 85 mph for the next 20 years.

Well it is apparently a hybrid according to updated news sources, but who knows about the MT. I’m keeping my hopes up for this.
I like this suggestion — it’s not something you’ll see very often, although it probably won’t ever be as sporty as something like a GTI. Maybe more of a GT than an autocross vehicle?
Jalopnik is just taking an extremely simplistic stance on the matter, which isn’t too surprising, because in the end Jalopnik gets views from controversy.
It would be a risky proposition for Honda, but being first to the market with a real sporty EV coupe would be damn cool. They’d make some sales at the $40-45K level, but it would be dead-on-arrival at $60K. Perhaps this is a low volume way for Honda to ‘test’ 10-20K EV drivetrains in the real world before offering…
I like your positive outlook, Bradley. Unfortunately, I think it is likely we are still witnessing the death of the coupe. Perhaps by “Japanese Perfomance Cars” you are also referring to quick-accelerating electric CUVs, but I see several coupes above.
I will seriously buy that Prelude new, too. Just not in white... (sigh) lame colors!
1. Choice of paint color (on ‘regular’ cars) beyond black, white, grey/silver, and maybe red.
I drove a 1998 Buick LeSabre for a while with a blue fabric interior. It had *the most* comfortable seats of any car I’ve been in for the past 20 years. I drove a later model Buick sedan with the ‘leather’ and it was much less comfortable. (A few years ago I drove a ~2017 S550 a bit, but didn’t notice the seats…
This guy has learned *a lot*.
Basically a loaded Maverick, right?
Let’s translate this GM delay into ‘English’:
I’m guessing there’s something more here going on than driving in the rain. I’ve never read about another Model Y getting disabled by rain. Perhaps some major manufacturing flaw in this specific battery, or prior damage to the battery enclosure?
This is probably only going to be driven to burning man by some rich tech bro who will find a way to get it stuck in the mud
It’s illegal to bring your gun into a lot of places. So a lot of people who carry regularly have to leave their guns in their car.
Exactly. It’s still just mind boggling that Musk went with the CyberTruck nonsense rather than a traditional looking truck with an EV drivetrain for suburbanites. He would have been printing money with these, assuming they avoided all the nonsense delays caused by the idiotic stainless steel body.
You know Ford must employ a team of highly paid / highly skilled data analysts who structure those option packages to push buyers into paying $15-20K more for like $3000 of options!
But you ordered this truck without really knowing the sticker price, and about 18 months before you get it. I have high confidence that GM will build a good EV truck, but that’s still a lot of faith to put into a car company on an unrealeased product.
