I don’t think this is really correct. I could plug an iphone 15 into a 2016 vehicle with wired Carplay and it’ll work fine. The auto manufacturer does not have to “keep up with what the phone companies are releasing” — all they got to do is support the published API once per automotive electronics generation.

It’s also reduced the amount of time new hires would take to receive top wages to five years from six.

BMW will charge $20000 $2000/month to put a hungry ocelot in the back seat that will maul you to death as you pull out of the dealership.

Yeah that guy is a jackass -- I’m just curious about the various cultural / geographic contexts of labeling regions / continents/ etc.

I’m guessing you live in the SF area and ski toward the Tahoe area? I can’t think of another place where people would be confident enough to drive an EV to go skiing...

The term ‘ghost’ is also an acceptable technical term in optical design. :)

Yeah after I drove across half the country with a 18' (?) Uhaul towing my car on a front-wheel-only trailer, I realized I should stay a *long* way from any Uhauls. I had no idea what I was doing and immediately spent 12 hours driving with a trailer (1st time ever) after picking it up. I couldn’t even see my car behind

Try taking a picture of anything much smaller than a mountain on your cell phone that is 10 miles away and see how it looks. Navy jets don’t fly up in selfie range very often...

I’m a bit confused — it almost seems like the article says2.5 second 0-60 time” and then immediately calls the Mustang GT500 as a car that is ‘quicker’.

Note that this is *one* definition, and that the English term of “Central America” means different things to different people/cultures. For more info, look at the Different Definitions section on wikipedia:

Racist comments are racist comments, so no excuses there, BUT...

No, they copied from the Sacklers.

Given this is a Geely design, how much of this vehicle is shared with the Volvo EX90? Is it a Lotus, or is it basically a country-club mom’s family hauler wearing a fancy skin?

ND: it’s not a Testarossa. Everyone who wants this car lusted after the Testarossa as a kid, and they still can’t afford one.  The Mondial is still just the consolation prize.

Unless GM (or whoever) tries to make it super inconvenient to bring your own services on your own device.

exactly!

Countries do go after weapons factories in foreign territories, but it’s usually a 1st world country bombing a factory/building in a barely 3rd world country, like Israel bombing a weapons plant in Syria or the when Clinton bombed a pharmeceutical plant in Sudan in the 1990s.

I wouldn’t put it past Russia to ‘test’ one of their anti-satellite missiles on a couple Starlink satellites if this happened, unless Russisa was expecting to be embarrassed by watching the missile fail publicly.  (I’d put my money on Russia not being able to field an operational asat missile, personally.)

lol, you are correct.  I hadn’t finished my coffee yet

That and no one would buy a small car without some additional ‘incentive’ like gas tax, GVWR tax, etc.
