On the bright side(?), in less than 20k miles, you’ll have spent more on gas than on the vehicle!   (At the US average gas price of $3.67/gal)

The problem is the morgue only gets used maybe 5x per year, so they don’t give it proper maintenance. If they would store food/drinks *in the morgue*, then they would have maintained it properly.  All they got to do is use it for food storage, and then it’ll be ready for the dead body -- they’ll just have to charge

I despise this type of person. At my last job we had one guy who was manager of all the technicians — not a particularly high level at this company. He would totally kiss anyone’s ass if he perceived them to be higher or equal in the ranking scale, but he treated all his subordinates like dirt. They were scared of

Of course, even driving a Sprinter Van on a daily basis doesn’t disqualify you from being an enthusiast if you’ve got some other car that you are enthusiastic about and that you drive regularly. At that point you’re definitely putting your wallet behind a no-compromise auto-focused lifestyle.

Coming from a true scotsman, I’m glad you’re entertained. That’s my primary goal in every comment I make.

I labeled it a hot take for a reason...

Yeah we definitely need some federal highway regulations that specify maximum heights for front & rear bumper surfaces + front & rear lights.

Nice color, but...

Here’s my hot take:

Well, you just sell it for what the market thinks it is worth — perhaps about 16% lower than you were expecting.

True, they probably built *just* enough to reach the minimum order quantity from the MT manufacturer — just to get reviewers to say, “Wow it’s a really sports car with an MT!”

Seems like this is going to be (at best) a 20 year old car with >150k miles for ~$9000 + nationwide search since you’ve only got 15-20 of these to choose from across north america.

This is needed as Bezos’ girlfriend Lauren Sanchez is an avid helicopter pilot.

I’d say that the MT would have increased sales by <5%. They dropped the manual from the Genesis version of the car, after all.

Good point on the HUD brightness on a transparent surface — that’s what really disappointed me with 1st gen AR glasses.

No, I’m reacting to the ‘get out of my Model3 while resale values are still high’, which sounds a whole lot like you’re talking about shares of GME and not a vehicle.

I’m not an expert in watches, but I’m not clear on how mechanical watches are technologically advanced. I’d imagine they can make something arbitrarily more complicated with modern machining techniques and metals allowing for smaller gears, dual faces, etc, but I don’t really consider this to be ‘high tech’ any more

Poor distance focus is corrected by glasses, which work fine with normal mirrors.

At what point did the designers at Mercedes decide they needed to scrap their old-school luxury reputation for this ~2002 Gamer PC (LEDs LEDs LEDs!!) + WinAmp style?
