Sounds good to me! Let’s make sure it goes up exponentially for vehicles over ~6500 lbs. Give vehicle owners a discount if they have a CDL.

Well, you know what they say, “The good apples spoil the blue line.”

Also, rent a minivan or SUV to bring the kid+stuff to college. Why put a one-time use case requirement on a daily driver?

At Mazda’s current progress towards electrification, you are referring to the electric Miata “NF” that will come out in 2042.

+1

It does look good: the GM designers applied the best parts of Mazda’s design language on the Chevrolet Equinox.

Blaming this on some political party is insane.

Go back another few years, cassette tapes were used for games in the early/mid ‘80s:

I think SF has some exceptionally bad areas that get a lot of attention, but overall it’s not much different than any other big city. I’ve been to museums, concerts, a conference, and a Warriors game there in the past year with absolutely no issues.

Wouldn’t it be more accurate if the title of the article was “Bay Area Criminals Assaulting Cyclists with Car Doors

Fact of the day: the venerable GM 3800 V6 (production ended in 2008) was derived from the same Buick V8 that Rover borrowed for this vehicle.

1. Every owner of this vehicle *should* be paying ~$3500 gas guzzler tax.

As are the Youtube-streaming rear-seat touch screens!  Gotta keep the employees happy on the way to the work site!

Hmmmm... Small G-wagon + China exclusive: my understanding is that offroading is *not* a very popular activity in China, so I’m guessing this will just be a boxy-looking, urban people transporter.

Based on stats I’ve read, that’s absolutely record-breaking range degradation on an eGolf. I’ve heard of Nissan Leafs getting this low, though.

I was just making a point on envying a Taycan while driving a $55K Model 3: they’re vastly different classes, so people don’t cross shop these.

Yeah this is completely irrelevant given the widely variable pricing when considering mfg incentives, dealer incentives, mfg-to-dealer incentives, and variable dealer profit margin.

Lowest priced used Taycan I can find is $80K — I guess you can buy 60-70% of a Taycan for a Model 3, so it wouldn’t be too practical as a daily driver until it has at least 3x wheels...

I like all the proposed solutions, but I agree they are wishful thinking because it would require people of the US to change their attitude away from, “I am free to do whatever I want with my own property *and* public property, no matter what damage it does to society. FREEDUM!!!”

Hey now, that looks like a WMD to me... instant forest fire!
