How to troll the USAF and DoD:

How does that work out if you have to stop 1/2 way to the destination at a hotel? Lots of climbing onto the roof to grab stuff? I’ve never tried putting something on the roof of a vehicle in my life, although it was really tempting the last time I packed passengers, luggage, ski equipment, and a 40lb dog in an SUV!

(sarcastic mode on) Yeah that pretty much matches up with the notes from a recent Woodside City Council meeting on ‘Minimally Acceptable Vehicles for Woodside Residents’

Maybe we need some new highway regulations that specify the maximum height for a headlight, along with a minimum required height for the primary bumper surface.

lol ... the “Distributed Exclusively in the USA by Whamo-O” at the end was a nice touch

Yeah I think the price difference between a crate-engine 3.6L V6 and 392 V8 is like $3500, so I bet it’s safe to assume the *actual* Stellantis cost difference between a V6 and V8 Wrangler is <$10K even if they’re adding some heavier-duty off-roading parts.

Someday the style trend of “Must drive square, blocky car with very tall hood” will end.... hopefully...

Yeah - I’ve always thought 3-row vehicles with the trunk space close to Miata are a bit silly. I guess there’s always the, “got to carry my two kids *and* their friends” reason, but you’re sure not road-tripping with 2x adults + 4x kids in some of these vehicles unless you bring a trailer.

Hold on, so the regular drivers are suppose to just have faith and follow the autonomous car in front of them when they see a white light? So now the autonomous vehicle needs to both drive safely for itself and some human-controlled follower?

Too much Vodka mixed into the tank:  Vodka freezes at -16F, while certain formulations of gasoline make it down to -100F.

Damn, Stellantis must be making like $30-40K profit on each of these $90K Wranglers that it sells!  I had no idea the ‘392' edition starts in the $80K range.

EVs can’t handle this weather, so most owners keep them garaged for the winter.

lol - I remember a similar span of weather like that in college. The next week had a day with highs around 45F, so a group of us ate lunch outside because it felt so warm!

I think generic / lowest price batteries are still a problem. They may have lower quality cells (??) and almost certainly lower performing charging circuitry. Maybe they also drive the battery cells to higher charge levels to get that extra 1000mah on their Amazon advertizement. E-scooters are becoming a huge issue in

I know he can ship an unloaded weapon in checked baggage, but he didn’t. If you violate the law with a weapon, you should be penalized, i.e. lose concealed carry for a significant period of time. (I’m not saying take his gun, just penalize him for being irresponsible, ignorant, or both.)

1. His concealed carry permit should also be automatically revoked for violating various FAA and gun storage rules. Let him reapply again in 5 years.

Thanks for the review.

+1 to this being a Bad Idea.

For some people, this is a lifestyle choice. [I realize there are also many people who cannot afford to live near their jobs, and commuting is a necessity for them.] I’m lucky enough to have an education that allows me to get jobs in a variety of cities, and I’ve also decided that I will not have a commute over 1/2

Something really doesn’t add up here: 28K miles + clean interior, but needed a respray *and* someone pulled off the emissions control equipment but only drove it for like 1000miles/year?!
