Last thing we need is another vehicle that recharges for <90 minutes and locks the cable in place for the next 7 hours because the owner is too lazy to take the charging cable off their car!

+1 here. I bet battery power is used very efficiently in low-speed offroading. Jumping sand dunes might be a different story, but that doesn’t seem very Jeep-y.

Still got to show up for the comments section, though

Your Jensen looks amazing!

I’m just happy they didn’t try to copy Toyota and call it CRZY SPNZ or something like that.

Maybe someone can spend more than 30 seconds and get a better set of cars for comparison, but 17 mpg combined seems to be the industry standard...

 300lb-ft at ~1700RPM isn’t that bad!

As a car enthusiast, I am somewhat ashamed to say that Apple CarPlay is a requirement on my vehicle purchases. I know the infotainment shouldn’t be a deciding factor, but right now I commute on very busy highways so convenience (Music, Podcasts, Maps) trumps performance.

Yeah a hybrid system would make it a total pig weight-wise, and the benefits of a hybrid don’t really work well with the large displacement V8:

A Mark IX would be an interesting vehicle, but I think there’s a good chance that we will *never* see another sedan or coupe from Lincoln.

Seems like various Las Vegas casino properties are in the rougly $1B range, so I’d guess that a floating equivalent would be the same price.

Yeah it’s a bunch of people who are earning >>$200K/year working in the tech industry around the San Francisco area.  They just take this time to go out in the desert and have a wild + expensive party.

OK makes sense — I hadn’t heard of the EL until looking it up. Maybe it didn’t come to the US? I understand why Honda would do this, since the market for a compact luxury sedan is pretty limited.

Technically no, but it did take some balls to go through with the procedure.

If you’re a Uyghur, your odds of your kids being put in a concentration camp are pretty damn high, though.

I thought the base model Integra was *always* a Civic with slightly massaged sheet metal and upgraded interior.

I’m dissappointed in everyone’s choices so far except *maybe* the Lucid Air. How about something a bit more inspirational

+1 The EQS may be loaded with a bunch of tacky screens and interior lighting, giving it a ‘car of the future’ vibe, but it’s a turd without character on the outside.

  • Mini Coopers have a $4k trim package on a 190hp car (~$38K MSRP)

Farley: Lyriq isn’t different enough, oh and look at the Lincoln Zephr in from China. It’s so different it’ll knock your socks off. It’s totally not a re-badged Mondeo
