I did a quick search on the article and I saw nothing mentioned about record-breaking inflation, or the Supply vs. Demand issues impacting the entire market.

I drove one a few times, and while it was nice (and quirky), it’s MSRP was way too high vs. the competition.

Cars are getting more expensive, and if gas stays at the current prices it’ll definitely cut people out of driving as a hobby. (My wife’s volvo takes >$100 to fill the tank now that gas is ~$7/gallon locally. I can only imagine how much it would cost to take a performance car like a V8 mustang out on a spirited drive

Finally, a car to satisfy all the people who hate the new Integra.

I was always worried because I couldn’t see my (towed) car for hours on end since it was hidden behind the truck, unless I was going around a very sharp corner.

After I rented a 18' Uhaul with a tow dolly, put my small sedan on the dolly, and then drove >1000 miles I realized that literally any idiot could be driving a rental truck. Stay far, far away.

Realistically the $40K Cybertruck will easily be $50K after COVID-inflation. The cheapest Model 3 is $49K right now, and I expect the truck will be more expensive than a Model 3.

This is true, and also Tesla still has the best (mass produced) miles/kwh.

Ways to get arrested when living in a city / suburb?

5 minutes of drone whine per day is almost negligible compared to the 30+ minutes of 2-cycle engine leaf blowing I hear several days a week as various neighbors have yard work done.

To be really fair, all the fuel services should be required to dispense at the same rate, too. The gas/diesel should flow at ~0.5 gallons/hour.

FYI, $18K today is worth $14K in 2011 money!  (depressing, isn’t it)

Re-skinned Cadillac Lyriq?

Yeah the flight crew had to rush off the airplane to their next flight (they don’t get paid unless the plane is loaded and doors closed), leaving the woman in the care of the employees on the jetway / gate. Almost certainly, they are not allowed to do anything medical-assistance-related for liability reasons.

I agree in theory it’s a good idea, but what I have seen in practice are people who buy high end (BMW, Porsche) PHEV’s for the HOV sticker, and then either:

Yeah the Archon in Starcraft 2 got it right, “We need focus.”

As an EV driver, I think that hybrids are still a great solution. Toyota has also proved that the added complexity of a hybrid is not a net negative for the vehicle — it can actually prolong the life of mechanical components since regen braking and electric boost on take-off reduce some stresses of starting /

I’m not a fan of the orange interior, but it’s definitely not an ugly car.

It’s true, but the average driver is definitely not going to overcome this tendency. Also, seeing directly in front of you is pretty useless unless you’re parked since you cannot react to something suddenly appearing 3 feet from your bumper at >~15 mph.

Yeah I remember reading about the 3.5L + MT Altimas that were pretty impressive for price vs. performance back years ago. I guess we can blame Carlos Ghosn for the downfall of Nissan / Infinity?? They didn’t use to suck...
