I haven’t been in a MB dealer since 2017 (ended up with a volvo at the time). While there, I did sit in a *really* base level C-class that was sitting in the showroom for some reason. (It was under $40K, but I don’t remember the price.)

It definitely did not measure up to a current $50K Model 3 — I was mainly

and that’s the best find yet.

I agree, I’m just bitter about the number of people I’ve seen with their nose uncovered or just not bothering with the mask for extended periods because they have an open drink on their tray.

Help with your wifi signal, at least. At least one of the next boosters is going to add wifi because they’re having trouble sourcing the 5G chips from TSMC.

The problem is that MB is relying on their logo, by itself, to carry their brand. I think a lot of people buy these things as a status symbol and want them to be distinctive. BMW’s latest designs may look ugly on screen, but at least they got the distinctive bit in their favor.

Wish I had more stars for this comment.

That could be true — I’m just giving him the benefit of the doubt, i.e. innocent until proven guilty. I’m not a big enough Elon stalker to know this...

Good business opportunity, though.  Start selling plastic bags on Amazon for fuel storage with ‘use at your own risk’ labels.

This is 100% what I’d expect from Honda, MB *really* needs to get new designers. The EQS design philosophy:

Cool story —this would make a great article here with photos & details!

On Racism @ Tesla:
When your CEO is a notorious asshole in day-to-day operations, that type of attitude will manifest itself in management behavior all the way down to the lowest level of the company. Once that racist guy who is a line supervisor gets the idea that ‘asshole management’ is the proper behavior in the

This is the problem: even lots of pro-mask people are willing to take their mask a dozen times for drinking, and maybe for 30 minutes to eat a sandwich (with extra onions) that they bought at the airport. After half the airplane does this, then is masking really that effective?

I know someone (with the vaccine + booster) who had their international travel extended by 7 days due to testing positive before the return. I think they were required to get some kind of medical proof that they had tested negative on one particular type of COVID test for 5 days before flying.

Florida Man just brings that out in people.  DeSantis doesn’t help either.

Wow this car for $47K is pretty insane compared to the pre-pandemic Chevy Bolt, which is more or less equivalent. Back in the good ol’ days you could get a Bolt LT for like ~$23K and a Premium for maybe $28K after incentives and tax rebates.

With more people trying to keep their cars rather than face the crazy new/used car market, will auto mechanics start to charge more / make better profits as well:  law of supply and demand?

Lol they could have just done what pontiac did and put a body kit on a minivan.

The only scanning lidar I’ve seen on a production car is the Valeo unit on Audi. AFAIK everything else has been on a show car or rendering, with promises for the future:

This is the correct answer

Look how quickly GM killed off Olds and Pontiac because they couldn’t justify four versions of the same vehicle
