Hold on, a $29,990 small EV that is “Affordable, agile, and styled for city living”?!? Why wait for the Fisker when you can get it already

Having spent significant amounts of time in Boston, SF, DC, and knowing a guy who specifically bought a house in Chicago on a public transit line, this is correct.
It does improve aerodynamics, but I agree that side cameras have some pretty big disadvantages.
a dearth of newer ICE models with their known degradation cycle will keep older, higher polluting cars on the road, negating environmental gains from EVs.
EVs are more destructive on roadways with their higher mass and torque
Congrats MB, you made a completely generic car. It’s faster now, but so is every other electric vehicle over $60K! If you erased the logo, it would look like one of those generic background cars from a video game where they don’t want to put any effort into the design.
It would also cause just about everyone to panic (even more) and probably ground the airplane for quite a while to have interior parts replaced and safety checks.
FTFY:
Last thing I want to be around is someone firing a gun on an airplane unless the only other alternative is people dying. Pulling a gun on this guy would have been a bad idea -- I doubt the threat of being shot would have mattered to him at all.
Yeah it’s bulbous shape reminds me of early/mid 1990s designs. Two-tone paint is interesting, but almost there to hide the fact that it’s an ugly shape.
It’s pretty funny that this car is $13K (down from $90K+) whereas a similar vintage GTO is around $18K today (down from maybe $31K)
Quick, turn it into an NFT and you’ll be rich!
This makes me immediately think of the Amigo
I think we’re a long way from Stagflation still. Just imagine if interest rates got up to where they were through the late 1970s and 1980s. If our interest rates went up by a factor of 3x or 4x, I think it would kill the housing and automotive markets, and the federal government would need to massively devalue the…
I can understand having a special suspension in a car like this, and I understand that special stuff wears out and is expensive to replace. I am curious, however, if the ~300 horses from the Mercedes V8 anything more special than the 350-400hp from a Pontiac GTO of the same vintage?
When I was in grad school, one professor I worked with was doing a project related to explosives detection. Someone in his group handed me a heavy 8" diameter metal pipe with a screw-on cap on both ends. I opened one of the caps and found a few glass vials with crystals inside. They were labeled RDX, TNT, and…
They *are* allowed to work, just inside the country. They just choose to have a tantrum over a simple public safety rule, they are selfish and angry people.
Paying in the $60K range for a specialized high performance vehicle isn’t too bad, I guess. It doesn’t accelerate like a Corvette, but it’s probably got the same level of ‘high-performance’ and engineering when it’s running in its intended environment vs. other vehicles with a 4WD badge.
It is sad how people will base their entire identity around hating someone else. This is always exploited by the worst governments to control their people, like Kim Jon Un in North Korea rallying his people around a collective hatred/fear of the US/West.
With inflation, I’d guess that >$4.00 gas is the new norm for California.
