That’s exactly what I bet will happen: the VW will look cool and probably even have better/more passenger space than a quad cab F150 ev, but it’ll just be too expensive *and* not appeal to the US market. Most people don’t need more space than the quad cab pickup, and they like the truck bed and style of the pickup vs.

I’d say this is the direct opposite of German overengineering:

Yeah my eGolf was like that. I put a CD in it one time. Even if you were teleported from 1999 with a binder full of CDs, I do not think that opening the glovebox to change a disc was a great idea on this car. Luckily I was always using CarPlay.

Serviceability, not survivability!

I’m sure VW execs are as eagerly awaiting the more interesting ID.Buzz microbus versions as much as anyone else.

Based on the info online, it seems like it’s almost all *inside* the vehicle. I haven’t found a great source that breaks down the statistics, though.

their registration is cancelled pursuant to 29-A MRSA 354, a statute that says that an off-road vehicle cannot be registered in the state. Further, the letters claim that the Mitsubishi Delica is a minitruck that does not meet federal emissions and safety requirements and thus cannot be driven on the state’s roads.

I went to a talk by the Head of Safety for one of the big US automakers. His advice: buy your kid the newest car you can afford. Safety technology is continually improving, and the newest car (of any type) will typically beat the crash record of a 10 year old car.

You need to use the e-brake when you park on a hill. The park setting in an automatic transmission should not be used to hold your vehicle on a steep slope.

In the same way that police expect people to not “act suspiciously”after being stopped for fear of getting arrested or even shot, this cop was acting super suspiciously with that bag *even* if it was unintentional.

Yeah I’d rather pay Tesla an extra $3500 for a Model 3 or Y than have to worry about some dipshit dealer that thinks it can add a > $10K markup to a Kia Telluride:

A sub 5sec 0-60 time in 1984 is damn impressive. The 1984 Ferrari Testarossa with the 385hp V12 had a 0-60 that was in the low 5s range.

I knew a guy *just* like your dad. In about 2008 he got a bright yellow convertible Nissan 350Z (was it a 370 then?). A few years later he got married and his new wife made him get rid of it LOL.

Good point. The Solis (Promaster ) has just enough room with an interior width of 75.6"

I had a friend with this exact car. Unfortunately they were broken in the passenger seat, so I never got the experience :(

Didn’t read the full comment did you? Did you notice that I’m talking about politics, too? I’m generally referencing how intolerance to religion seems to be OK to lots of people.

You literally didn’t read my comment past the first few words, did you?

Closest thing was Hurricane Sandy, and NYC shut down the subway and tunnels in advance of the storm surge. Things still flooded, and it took a couple days to get the subway reopened.
