You are definitely on to something here. The length of a day on Neptune measured in Earth hours is 16. I think this was definitely intended for interplanetary export.

That first picture needs a human for scale! I seriously started to think it was this size (like an actual toy):
Yeah I really wonder if my recalled 2019 Bolt should be in my garage... I’ve also wondered about pushing for a buyback. I’d probably burn down my house and my neighbor’s house (high California housing density FTW!)
Yeah it’s competitive at $35K, but then it’s still a nice VW sedan vs. a loaded sedan from Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Hyundai/Kia, etc.
A $1500 respray on a brand new car is going to cost you way more than $1500 in depreciation when you go to sell the car. A $1500 wrap will give you a color choice for a few years, at least...
Just imagine how much more fun it would have been to get the GTI with the same engine! :)
Parallel parking at home and at work would mean that an EV or Plug-in Hybrid are almost certainly excluded. (I’m picturing someone living in the NYC area... does anyone know of charging infrastructure where you parallel park at home and at work??) You could survive with a Tesla and their superchargers, but it’s more…
Yeah it’s idiotic to point to some arbitrary date in history and say, “your ancestors did this” or “your ancestors beat our ancestors up” as an excuse to commit your own crimes.
Owning and defending a piece of land relatively far away from China isn’t going to do China much good. Perhaps they can build an airbase there or something if it’s in a strategically good place to project power into Europe or the Mideast?
I’m more worried about David choosing the *incorrect* Holy Grail previously. We all know what happens to those guys *and* their cars:
*exactly* I’ve been in upstate NY and seen the *exact* same kind of gun-toting rednecks that I grew up with in the “deep south”
Personally I’ve seen more racism / prejudice in New England than in North Carolina. Just get a an hour outside of Boston.
Like Michigan, California (non-LA, non-SF), and New York (upstate)? I’ve seen a bunch of hateful conspiracy theorists in all these states. Or maybe you prefer to keep you’re “Us vs Them” fallacy going because you want to assume that’s it’s all just in the South?
Here’s an idea we can file a Jalopnik Patent on (royalties pay to everyone who replies!): instead of a frunk, we can have the NE’s convertible top fold into the *front* of the vehicle under the hood. That’ll be *perfect* solution...
Do any pickups ever have a handbrake? I’ve never driven an old pickup, but I remember a 2003 Ranger (with MT) I drove years ago did not have a handbrake. Much to my dismay when I was coming up to a traffic light on a hill...
Slightly tangential, but I’ve always wondered who buys the optional Honda wheels that you can select in their configuration tool. It’s like $1700 for an essentially cosmetic change to the vehicle:
Volvo’s CitySafety sensor suite from around 2010 actually includes a LIDAR. It was equipped on a ton of cars.
damn that’s awful :)
Good luck finding a running Impala SS for $10K.
What’s up with those idiotic clown car wheels on the Aminiyekta’s drawings? Can we *please, please* get some designers who can make a sketch without oversized wheels and rubber-band tires? They even protrude from the fenders!!
