Very true — style is completely subjective

Muata? Mustata? Mitang.... definitely a Mitang

I’ve just spent a couple days cross-shopping the Mercedes GLE, GLC and Volvo XC90 and XC60. At least for these vehicles, I completely disagree about the interior being better on the Mercedes. The Volvo SUVs look better both inside and out. Also, the Mercedes infotainment system is a disaster compared with Volvo’s

1950's Lincoln had a chrome grid / mesh grille. These other companies should stop whining.

I agree 100%. It’s seems like something designed 10-15 years ago with the goal of competing with the excessively complicated look/feel of the BMW iDrive. There was no thought of usability put into the design.

And herein lies the problem — it’s the car everyone’s mom drives. Lexus has become the 2000's version of what Buick / Cadillac were in the 1980s.

And then just the Volvo-branded vehicles built for the international market because car companies are smart enough to just meet local (crash safety) regulations and no more.

Wow that is the most generic concept art I’ve seen in a while.

I leased my last car (eGolf) for this exact reason. I was thinking of something more fun (e.g. GTI, BMW 3-series) but my commute changed just before I made my decision. I was driving highway + suburban hilly roads for ~40 minutes, now driving 5 miles in a dense suburban environment with lots of traffic lights. Over

So... $30k discount plus an additional $30k of depreciation within 1 year! Brilliant! Anyone want to buy a lightly used 2017 F-Type for about 1/2 price in 9-10 months?

I’m not complaining about the Gen1 Volt, I’m just questioning whether the ELR is worth double the price of a similar Gen1 Volt.

The ELR is a nice looking Cadillac, but it is a gen-1 Volt under the skin. When I look at pricing, I see a bunch of used 2014's with 25-50k miles for about $25-30k. 2014 Volts with similar miles are about $14k.

Except for the Mini styling, is there any reason to own this car over a GTI or Golf R? I mean, if you really want a BMW wagon, this JCW Clubman overlaps in price with the 3-series x-drive sports wagon.

Super late reply, but you’re quite wrong. Golf / GTI has significantly more cargo volume.

Everything the MINI Clubman S can do, the GTI does better ... and cheaper ... and more reliably. Where I live, the GTI is pretty popular, but it’s not like the MINI is uncommon either.

Unfortunately for Cadillac, their luxurious roots have grown into crossover (and SUV)-shaped trees. It’s not great for enthusiasts who like to drive, but if you are the rider then the SUV/CUV body makes vehicle entrance / egress easier. I wonder what the breakdown is for individuals vs. livery vehicles who own these

I think silver has been the #1 car color since about 2000. It *is* super boring, and when you add in all the shades of grey, it feels like 90% of cars are somewhere on the spectrum of black to grey/silver to white. There are a few red cars sprinkled in here and there, and almost nothing else.

FYI here’s a picture of the interceptor (the Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle). It’s everything above the big cylindrical platform (i.e. tanks, thrusters, plumbing nightmare, and gold cylinder)

If your favorite car is a new Saturn, I hope your second car is a DeLorean equipped with a Mr. Fusion so that you can go back in time and buy it.

Do you have the same opinion of the current XC60? They’ve got identical side profiles. The only substantial changes you can see in this picture are the more-upright grille and the slightly different angle on the bottom of the C-pillar window.
