Honestly a lot of posters act like they care when they very obviously do not. When it comes to race they dance all around the subject posting ridiculous reasons why something isn't really racist instead of addressing the issue. Very few white people are brave enough to just talk to black people about race. even on the

Not true. Please stop repeating the craziness that the only blacks in Europe were slaves. It wasn't until the transatlantic slavery trade started that Africans became associated only with Slavery. Remember Africa, Asia, and Europe were considered part of the old world. Africans and Europeans were well known to each

Cool as hell. Me want and I don't even cook.

So true. And how many black comedians have we seen warm the room up with a good spanking story?

I have some theories on why that sort of thing is true about black and Latino kids but I don't think Jezebel is the place to talk about it. So you're probably right about it not being relevant to them.

I agree. Some of these anti-spanking commenters are pretty damn smug and self righteous

Yup. And I kinda feel like this is the part where all the black kids find themselves at the same table in the cafeteria at a mostly white school.

I get you, but maybe people feel the need to post that "they turned out fine" because the article is implying that because they were spanked they're stupid angry bullies. I was spanked I am none of those things. So I don't want to diminish your situation but ultimately this article is insulting to you as well. Unless

David bowie prompts box wine. Not cool.

I love Paula Fernandes's "bitch you see me" dress. I fhtere was ever a place to wear such a frock it would be at an awards show. Good for her.

Yup. He cheated on all of this.

Oh yes this is a light in the middle of the tunnel.

Except you missed my entire fucking point about working with a local seamstress. I can't deal with you today. If you don't think seamstress deserve to be paid for their time and work then I can't even talk to you. Have a great life.

Except that there are a bunch of people here complaining about poorly made cheap dresses. It's as if you're oblivious to the existence and purpose of this article.

I have the best last name in the universe. No way in hell I'm changing it for any reason. My husband can take my last name purely on merit of course. because my last name is so amazing.

Yup, that's what I've been saying throughout this entire thread. Give your business to your local seamstress, you'll get what you asked for and you're really helping your community out. And if you're kind enough to invite that seamstress to the wedding if something happens to your dress the day of the ceremony she can

it looks like you almost spent about $400 anyway. You might have been able to afford a cheaper seamstress. Just sayin...

I'd like to see these dresses that you're talking about but using what I know as a seamstress the $2000 dress is probably made from better materials, has a proper foundation and just made better. It'll probably last longer than the $400 dress as well. Sometimes just glancing at similar garment makes them seem the same

Here's the thing if they had taken the money they spent on terrible dresses that don't fit them and paid a local seamstress they wouldn't be in this situation. It's not about blaming people for being poor. It's about blaming people for not using local resources. You may pay a little more with a local seamstress but

I dunno as a seamstress it kinda irritates me to see people crying about not getting an amazing designer dress for pennies. Sewing is hard fucking work and if you are too broke to pay someone decently for quality work then don't complain about your sweatshop dress.
