My guess for this is that the various mentor heroes are brought forward through time travel shenanigans, have a brief conflict with their younger legacies, everyone learns a valuable lesson, and then the old heroes are returned to their times. More than likely, it’ll be a passing of the torch event.

I am absolutely fine with CGI de-aging. I think it’s fantastic, in fact.
